Privacy Policy

The short version

VaakApp is built so that there is almost nothing to collect. Speech recognition runs entirely on your device. Your voice, audio, and transcripts are processed and stored only on your computer.

  • Your voice never leaves your device.
  • Speech-to-text runs 100% on-device — no cloud transcription, ever.
  • No account, no telemetry, no analytics, no tracking.
  • Works fully offline, forever. The only network calls are ones you start (an optional model download or a license/update check).

What we collect

On your device (never sent to us)

Audio you dictate, the resulting transcripts, your settings, your personal Dictionary and Snippets, and any optional on-device usage stats stay on your machine. A10I Tech Works Pvt Ltd cannot see them.

What leaves your device, and only when you start it

The only network activity VaakApp performs is initiated by you:

  • Optional model download. If you choose to add a different speech model, VaakApp fetches it from a pinned, allow-listed host (Hugging Face) with a verified checksum. No personal data is sent.
  • License and update checks. When you activate a license or check for an update, VaakApp contacts the licensing/ update endpoint. This transmits only what's needed to validate your license (such as a license key and a device identifier), never your audio or transcripts.

Purchases

Payments are handled by our payment processor (merchant of record). We receive the information needed to fulfill and support your order (such as your email and order details). We do not store your full card number. Please also review the processor's own privacy policy at checkout.

This website

The website at vaakapp.com does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or cross-site trackers. If we use analytics, it will be a privacy-respecting, cookieless option that does not identify you — a brand that promises privacy should not surveil its own visitors.

Email you give us

If you join a notify/launch list, we store your email only to email you about VaakApp. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we will not sell or share it.

Your rights

Because your dictation data lives on your device, you are already in control of it — deleting the app and its data folder removes it. For any data we do hold (such as order records or a mailing-list email), you can request access or deletion by contacting us.

Children

VaakApp is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Material changes will be noted in the app changelog.
