Email support@vaakapp.com — a person reads it. If you'd rather fill in a form, there's one further down this page. Both reach the same place.

There's no ticket number and no chatbot, because there are not enough of us to need one. We answer in working hours, from India.

Worth trying first

These four cover most of what people write in about. The full set of answers is on the help page, and the app's own Help window — from the tray icon, or the sidebar — carries the same troubleshooting offline.

The shortcut does nothing
Another app has probably claimed it — PowerToys and Discord are the usual ones. Check their shortcut settings, or pick a different combination in VaakApp's settings.
The pill appears, but nothing gets typed
The app you're dictating into may be running as Administrator, which Windows does not let ordinary apps type into. The app's Help window has the full explanation.
It stops listening before you've finished
Raise the silence cutoff in Settings, and check that “stay open through long pauses” is on. If pauses are part of how you think, turn on “keep listening until I stop”.
The pill said “Nothing heard”
The recording produced no usable text, and History has a row saying which reason it was. That row is worth quoting to us verbatim.

Not one of those four? The help page answers the rest — privacy and where your files live, the shortcut, dictation modes, accuracy, and what to do when text does not arrive.

Report a bug

Everything here is optional except your email and what happened. A version number and the steps that reproduce it are worth more than a long description.

About the diagnostic report

VaakApp does not send us anything — not diagnostics, not telemetry, not usage data, not one line of what you dictated. What it can do is write a diagnostic report on your own machine and hand it to you. You copy it, read it, and decide whether to paste it below.

That last part is the whole reason it works this way. Nothing is reported behind your back, so nothing leaves your computer that you have not looked at first. If a line in it is something you'd rather not share, delete that line and send the rest — a shortened report is more useful to us than one you weren't comfortable sending.

There is one report, and the app tells you where to find it and how to copy it — we're deliberately not naming a file here, because the app is the thing that knows. If it's too long to paste, email it as an attachment instead; a report cut in half helps nobody.

Please don't send us your transcripts. We don't need them and would rather not have them. Describe the problem instead.

So we can reply. Nothing else.

What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. If it happens every time, the steps that reproduce it are the most useful thing you can send us.

Shown on the About page in the app.

Paste it here if you have one. Up to 5,000 characters — anything past that is cut off, so if yours is longer, email it instead of pasting half of it.

What happens to this: your message, your email address and anything you paste in are stored in our own records so that we can answer you, and the form runs a Cloudflare anti-spam check before it accepts a submission. You are not added to any mailing list by writing to us. The details are in the privacy policy, and you can ask us to delete the lot at any time.
